MLK Day of Service
Xi Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. began its year of service by volunteering at the Bread of Life Ministry – St John’s Downtown located at 1730 Gray Avenue in Houston.
Coordinated by Joyce Davis and Nyanza Moore, chapter members donated several hundred pounds of food items as well as toiletries, clothing and blankets. The chapter also reached out and partnered with the following organizations and companies who donated food and toiletries for this effort: Red Hat Society – Ebony Divas in Red, Moore Law Group, Brunswick Lakes Neighborhood Watch Group, B. P. Hopper Primary School, Women in NAACP and Panhandle Energy Pipe Line Company.
